And Here She Is!

As promised here is my new gal!!!! I wish that I had her warm blanket, she is for sale in the  shop.

How my kitchen became a bakery today

Let me just start off by saying that I didn't burn anything today!!!!! Applause..... Normality of my cooking can be rather unpredictable, not that it isn't good, however there is almost always a casualty in my kitchen. But by some miracle, or divine intervention, everything was as Martha Stewart as can be!

I baked:

4 loaves of whole wheat bread. ( and no, I do not own a bread maker! It was all by hand)

One bag of home made croutons, seasoned with olive oil and basil.

One dozen peanut butter cookies.

Six huge and fabulous whole wheat buns.

A carrot cake with........Wait for it....... broiled coconut and brown sugar icing! Yummy! ( icing recipe from my mother) Who coincidentally never burns anything! Apparently I get my nack for burnt goods from my grandmother.

I've included a picture of three of the loaves, the other was still baking.

And don't worry all! I have many a new painting on the way! Here is a sneak peak at very cozy, the painted version ( as there is a digital version). Tomorrow I will begin to paint her, she is pretty cute!

Boutique Mixi, Quebec City!

They are open for business! I've included the boutique advertisement for the shop ( and yes, I see one of my prints in the corner of the page.) It sounds like a fabulous shop, and if you are in the area, you should check it out! Also exiting is that I have been approached, and I will be designing logo's for a small independent natural lip gloss company! Very cool stuff! It's my hubby's birthday today, and of course................ We are going to see Iron Man!

I Actually Do Sleep, ...Sometimes

Well, I've completed another painting, and I'm sure that people are begginning to wonder if I sleep at all! I actually do sleep, but once I've started a project I am completely compelled to finish. This little girls name is Lola, and in my paintings sometimes the gingerbread men have been eaten, broken,sometimes they are good , and sometimes they are bad!!!!! This painting is called " The mischievious Gingerbread men " and they have awaken Lola in the middle of the night!

Flair of the day!

Well I've just finished a great gal. I call the painting daydreaming, which I am quite fond of( that is daydreaming, and the painting ). I've been working on her since about 6:30 am and now it's 2: 30 pm! But she's finished, and available in the shop. Wow I love the wall paper, but boy do my fingers hurt!

Also, of course I have some new girls! All of these are new, with the exception of " baby brother balloon " , but I am including it because it's growing on me.

Contest Winners!

For those of you that have been checking in , you must be aware of the print contest that primped paperie was hosting this month. Well, being the end of the month, the draw was made tonight! And to be absolutely fair and square I placed all 137 entries in an envelope and had my husband draw the two winners.

Thank you to everybody that entered the draw! Most of the emails were filled with such wonderful compliments about my artwork, so thank you again everybody! I wish so much that everybody could be a winner, so the best that I can come up with is to have a buy 2 prints, get the third print free, shop promo.

Happy Birthday Quebec! 400 years.

I'm very busy getting an order ready to send off, to a new boutique in Quebec city. It's located on Cartier Street, will be opening May 3rd, and is called Boutiq Mixi. There will be a variety of primped paperie's art prints available there. And I've done a special piece for the birthday of Quebec City( which is this year!) Here's a little peek, it will be only available at Boutiq Mixi. Drum roll please.
